We are seeking a capable and experienced Assistant Shipping Executive to support our export operations. This role requires hands-on expertise in booking shipments, documentation, and bill of lading processes, combined with strong interpersonal and commercial skills often associated with Business Development Managers (BDMs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage booking and processing of export shipments via sea/air freight.

• Prepare draft Bill of Lading, perform thorough checking, and coordinate for finalization.

• Handle full set of export documentation.

• Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs agents.

• Maintain accurate shipping records and updates in SAP.

• Follow up on dispatch, tracking, and proof of delivery.

• Communicate with internal departments and international clients effectively.

• Use sign language where necessary for inclusive communication.

Required Skills & Qualities:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping/export/logistics operations.

• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office.

• Must be skilled in sign language.

• Strong grasp on Bill of Lading processes.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation abilities.

BDM-oriented qualities:

• Strong client handling and relationship-building skills.

• Commercial awareness and understanding of international trade practices.

• Negotiation and follow-up capabilities with vendors and clients.

• Ability to identify and resolve operational bottlenecks.
