Accounts Associate

To strengthen our finance team, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Associate with experience in procurement and accounting functions.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Associate to support our procurement and financial accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in managing financial records, vendor accounts and inventory tracking (Preferably within the construction sector). Knowledge of IFRS and statutory compliance is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate vendor and supplier ledgers for various construction sites.
- Monitor and update inventory records, including stock availability at sites.
- Keep track of materials ordered, delivered, and pending at each site.
- Perform timely and accurate data entry of procurement transactions into the ERP system.
- Identify discrepancies in procurement records and report issues to management.
- Support month-end and year-end accounting closing activities.
- Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the purchase/procurement department of a reputable organization (preferably in the construction industry).
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in handling purchase orders, accounts receivable/payable and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with procurement workflows and vendor relationship management.
- Working knowledge of month-end and year-end closing processes.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a dynamic environment.
