| Job Description: |
The QC/QA Inspector at BOSS Plastic Furniture is responsible for conducting quality inspections at various stages of the production process to ensure that raw materials, in-process components, and finished products meet defined quality standards and company specifications. The role involves measuring, testing, and recording data using standard quality tools and equipment, as well as identifying defects and communicating them to the production team for immediate corrective action. The inspector must be vigilant, detail-oriented, and well-versed in plastic manufacturing processes such as injection molding. Additionally, the QC/QA Inspector is responsible for maintaining inspection records, assisting in root cause analysis, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols throughout the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, components, and finished goods. Use measuring instruments (e.g., vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify specifications. Record inspection results and maintain proper documentation. Identify, isolate, and report non-conforming products. Communicate quality issues to relevant supervisors for prompt corrective action. Monitor adherence to company standards and quality procedures on the shop floor. Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions. Support internal and external audits as required. Follow safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the inspection area.
Requirements:
Diploma or DAE (Mechanical, Polymer, or Industrial) or equivalent qualification. 1–3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in plastic or furniture manufacturing Knowledge of inspection methods, sampling plans, and basic quality tools. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications. Familiarity with basic measuring instruments and inspection reports. Good observation, reporting, and communication skills. Willingness to work in shifts and under pressure in a production environment. |
