Job Description: |
Responsibilities:
- Leading and managed a team of mechanical design engineers and guiding them in their day-to-day activities for fulfillment of deadlines.
- Overseeing the design, development and testing of mechanical systems, components and equipment.
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams for ensuring that designs are feasible, cost-effective and in compliance with all the required standards and regulations.
- Managing project timelines, resources and risk assessments for ensuring that all mechanical design projects are completed on time and within the approved budgets.
- Designing and developing mechanical components and systems (conception to production).
- Ensuring the creation and modification of 3D CAD models using tools, such as, SolidWorks or Pro/E.
- Conducting engineering calculations, performing tolerance analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) and CFD for validation of all mechanical designs.
- Developing prototypes and ensuring proper testing of all products/solutions before validating and approving the mechanical design structure.
- Identifying potential risks associated with the design, development and use of mechanical structures and systems along with developing a strategy for mitigating those risks.
- Interacting with vendors and suppliers for ensuring best quality material at most effective costs.
- Staying updated with the recent technological advancements in mechanical engineering and working on those for improving efficiency and effectiveness for the organization.
- Overseeing the creation and maintenance of all necessary documentation.
- Liasing with the Sales Team to brief them on the benefits so they can incorporate the same among their sales teams for improving sales volume.
- Training junior engineers and technicians for taking up higher roles and responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or higher degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
- Having a professional Engineering certification shall be a plus point.
- A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a similar or related field with at least 2 years in a leadership role within the field of Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials and manufacturing processes along with strong knowledge of CAD software and other engineering design tools.
- Shall possess strong project management, leadership and multi-tasking skills with excellent communication, problem solving, attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Should be able to apply innovative techniques to real-time products and solutions for creating products or projects for the global audiences.
