Position Summary:
Responsible to perform all activities involved in product development & initial pricing, this comprises a wide range of activities that includes assessing customer inquiry, understanding the needs of product and price points, raising product development request accordingly and ensuring on time sample delivery. Also ensure that all pre-production testing requirements are met. Additionally, track and ensure that all licenses, compliance requirements for any product/customer are met. These activities are carried out with the objective to serve customer needs on product development and initial pricing within the limits of standard operating procedures and customer’s expectations.
- Receive product development requests, clarifies/ validates details on specifications and initiates development with team and coordinates internal/ external communication related to sample development.
- Ensure that complete information regarding the customer requirements is available with internal team in a timely manner and furnishes and discusses the product development plan with Internal Team for agreement in customer’s interest.
- Interacts with QA Lab to arrange desired lab dips for customer approval and needed certifications, licenses, and compliance requirements of customers.
- Dispatch and ensure on time delivery of sample and seeks product approval from customer.
- Develops size set and sales man samples and updates customer portals as well as internal development logs, spreadsheets, executive summaries, tracking, time lines.
- Arrange product testing from internal/ external lab prior to bulk orders.
- Arrange proxies, BS/PS Codes into the system.
- Arrange initial or confirmed packaging artwork from customer and attends product hand out meetings with merchant.
- Assists account head to develop profitability and margins log and also Punch and/or updates initial forecast.
- Manages collection of sample data and checks and verifies accuracy of the product data.
