Position Title: DGM SCADA System Administration
Location: Karachi

Qualification: B.E (Electronics / Electrical / Computer Science / Computer Engineering)
Experience: 09 years relevant experience of UNIX / Oracle system administration

Responsibilities:
- Install software, application of patches, management of file systems, performance monitoring and troubleshoot alerts from commercial, open source and locally developed monitoring tools.
- Ensure system failure analysis and recovery; ensuring the consistency and integrity of file systems.
- Responsible for hardware/software configuration; and management.
- Liaise with vendor, operations personnel and field service personnel.
- Provide technical support and general troubleshooting.
- Lead hardware and software migration and upgrade efforts of varying size and complexity.
- Install and upgrade the Oracle server and application tools
- Responsibly allocate storage and plan future storage requirements for the database system
- Modify the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers

- Communicate with Oracle Corporation for technical support
- Manage proper running of SCADA Master station hardware/software systems
- Manage adaptation of new signals in RTU and SCADA

Responsibilities:
- Manage RTU system (Outstation Works, SAS and HMI system) at all grid stations including generating power plants
- Manage parametrization of RTU??s
- Manage execution, verification and modification of field RTU??s according to the network modification
- Manage and secure the database of RTU for all ??grids and generating stations
- Manage running of diagnostic for RTUs, checking errors and rectifying them
- Manage maintenance of HMI??s and relevant peripherals at SAS stations
- Responsible to follow implement all safety procedures as advised by HSEQ dept. in all maintenance activities of SCADA system
- Ensure team support to other relevant teams for fault rectification and system improvements
- Delegate tasks down the line
- Plan upgrades and system enhancing renovations in RTU Outstation Works, SAS and HMI system at all grid and generating station
- Manage timely maintenance schedules
- Prepare specifications for procurement of new equipment/parts and projects and manage inspection at the time of delivery
- Manage and implement use of proper PPE??s of all team members during field/site work.
- Manage development and implementation of standard operating procedures and policies for all activities / RTU Outstation Works, SAS and HMI system activities at grid and generating station
- Manage users enrollment and system security Manage security and availability of systems(stations) backup and recovery
- Assist logistics and material management with proper inventory control w.r.t validity of system and equipment (hardware and software) licences, end of life and end of support.
- Develop and manage comprehensive trainings programs for all team members that lead to overall improved team capabilities
- Abide by instructions to handle other systems as needed /instructed/directed by line manager and/or above authorities
- Regular monitoring of temperature and environment of RTU system (Outstation Works, SAS and HMI system) and other sub-system locations
- Ensure all activities are executed as per approved standard operating procedures and policies
