We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Web Developer to build and maintain a dynamic citizen engagement portal for our town. This portal will serve as a residents\\\\\\\' voice platform, enabling community members to interact with local government officials, participate in discussions, and stay informed about local events and news.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain a user-friendly community engagement portal.


• Implement features for account creation, announcements, newsletters, and event information.


• Develop functionalities for residents to raise concerns, contact government officials, sign petitions, and participate in community discussions.


• Create a robust backend admin area for generating insights, prioritizing concerns, and facilitating responsive actions from relevant local government departments.


• Ensure the portal\\\\\\\'s compliance with web standards, accessibility, and security best practices.


• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback, ensuring the portal meets the community\\\\\\\'s needs.


• Continuously update and improve the portal based on user feedback and emerging web technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.


• Strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects.


• Proficiency in front-end frameworks (e.g. like Angular, React or Vue).


• Strong experience with back-end development with frameworks (e.g. .NET (C#), Laravel (PHP), Django or Flask (Python), Ruby on Rails (Ruby) or Node.js and database management (e.g., MySQL, SQL, MongoDB).


• Experience in developing interactive and user-centric websites,  preferably with a focus on community engagement and user experience.


• Knowledge of web accessibility standards and SEO principles.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
