The Division:

Harris School Solutions, a business unit of Harris Computer Systems, provides Student Information Systems (SIS), Financial Management Systems and Food Service solutions exclusively to K-12 public and charter schools in North America.

The hired professional will be located and work out of the Contour Software Karachi office, working as part of a local team, as well as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Job Qualifications:

• University/College education or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline.
• 5-8 years of development experience in .NET technologies including C#, VB.Net, WPF and WCF.
• 5-8 years of development experience with web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, ASP.NET and Web Services.
• 5-8 years of experience building multi-tier, distributed web or mobile applications.
• 5-8 years of experience with data modeling, proven experience with MS SQL Server 2005/2008 including T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, DB maintenance.
• Minimum 2+ years of development experience with the .NET MVC framework.
• Thorough understanding of theoretical concepts such as Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Design Patterns and Service Oriented Architecture.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Visual Studio, MS SQL Server, Source Control and MS Office.
• Strong software development skills on the Windows platform including Windows Server 2003/2008 and Windows XP/7.
• Knowledge and understanding of internet and networking TCP/IP protocol.
• Strong problem solving abilities, and ability to pick up and adapt to new concepts quickly.
• Strong ability to follow prescribed development standards and to work as a team player.
• Strong understanding of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Experience with VB 6.0, classic ASP
