| Job Description: |
Introduction
- Service Engineer Manager will lead a team of service engineers and technicians to support new and existing customers with qualified installers and trouble shooting of solar home systems.
- He will also be responsible for the centralized repair and warranty claim function as well as the qualification of certain minor product changes.
Essential responsibilities for the service engineer function:
- Provide training and qualification of installers and retailers as requested by the Sales Manager.
- Handle troubleshooting and be a first line service point
- Manage the service, repair and warranty function establishing one or more technical service centers in the country
- Establish efficient, cost-effective and customer friendly functions and procedures for service, maintenance and repair
- Establish and maintain a highly competent and capable service engineer function
Qualification/Skills Required:
- More than 5, preferably more than 10, years leadership experience of technical function
- Experienced with solar home systems or similar technology
- Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Experienced with electronic equipment
- Clean Driving License
- Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Customer Focused
- Good English communication skills, written and verbal
- Willingness to travel in the territory
