Job Description:
Position Related:
Telenor GSS IT Operations is undergoing re-structuring. The key objectives are
  • Professionalization of GSS IT Operations as part of Industrialization journey within Group
  • Industrialize the GSS Pakistan Global IT Service (GIS) delivery and move from staff augmentation model to a managed service delivery model,
  • Building and securing key capabilities and competencies for Group in a captive delivery center in GSS Pakistan, in a global delivery model with
  • IT Operations (in Norway) responsible for strategic and tactical management of GSS’ IT Portfolio
  • IT Service Integrator (in Pakistan)- New organization, specializing on ITIL process and ensuring quality delivered by vendors and CoEs, fully offshored and SLA-based,
  • Centre of Excellence (in Pakistan)- State-of-art organization of development delivery centers in specific functional domain
CoE Manager will have overall SPoC for Service Development in terms of establishing new services or updating existing services. The CoE Manager is accountable and responsible, for the Center of Excellence scope related to Service Development for Microsoft Collaboration domain.

Goals
  • Responsible for managing the deliveries from CoE on agreed SLA’s
  • Responsible and accountable for oversight and well-functioning coordination with vendors / service providers on the service development
Your Typical day at work
  • Plan and manage the deliveries from development team
  • Stakeholder management internally towards GSS and also towards the vendors.
  • Responsible and accountable for oversight and well-functioning coordination with vendors / service providers on the service development
  • Support strategy and portfolio lead in GSS ITO in capacity planning and management
  • Build up and maintain COE domain specific capabilities according to industry best practices and aligned with GSS strategy
  • Assist in establishment and execution of specific application roadmap (supporting head of portfolio in IT Operations)
  • Competence, capacity and demand management planning for CoE
  • Collaborate with IT Portfolio lead and ongoing initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with GSS architectural and security guidelines, and ITSM processes
  • Recommend changes to services, solution architecture and processes for the services provided by GSS to its customer
  • Act as SME on product and process specific to Telenor.
  • Reporting on basis of defined SLA and KPIs to ITO for ongoing initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT/Engineering/Computer Sciences or similar
  • Relevant certification in the tool and technology will be a plus
Work experience:
  • Solid experience of managing IT teams
  • Extensive experience within IT development, demand and capacity management
  • Should be experienced in Shared Services deliveries
  • Experience with working in multinational teams and multinational companies
  • Experience with leading IT development teams specifically, with strong understanding of end-to-end lifecycle would be a preference
  • Experience or exposure to CoE structures and methodologies would be preferred
  • Stakeholder / vendor relationship at operational/tactical levels•
